At the heart of our work is the basic understanding that when women and girls are held back from fulfilling their potential, peace and development cannot be achieved at their fullest. That’s why we ensure women not only have their voices heard, but are at the forefront of change in the community.
Our activities aimed at empowering women include establishing mechanisms for responding to and dealing with cases of domestic violence, training in women’s rights, vocational training for women and menstrual hygiene awareness, including the provision of sanitary products.
Our holistic approach to women’s rights extends beyond female-only activities; we also work with communities to encourage active engagement across the board in encouraging women’s participation and the promotion of their rights and equality at all levels of society. Every year, we run a series of awareness raising campaigns as well as trainings on women’ rights and gender equality in Harare, Mashonaland West and Mashonaland East Provinces of Zimbabwe.
